The route in Day 2 had been shortened to 244.4km, instead of 350km. We drove from Vik to Skaftafell.

4-Wheel Drive Got Sunk

In the very morning, we drove to the beach and thought that our 4-wheel "can" but...little disappointed.
The Iceland people was so kind to rescue us and toll our "loyal partner" out of the mess. Before that, there was a group of Spanish helping us but in vain. Thank you all for their kind help.
The above is the volcanic beach, south of the village. It is a black sand beach.

Beautiful Vik

We had the lunch at the cafe of the fuel station where the guy helped us. After the lunch, we headed to Skaftafell National Park. We would check-in the FOSSHOTEL SKAFTAFELL first. It should be a glacier view room. Then we planned a short hike to the Svartifoss waterfall in Skaftafell National Park.
Rehersal to the Vatnajokull glacer walk for next day
