The route in Day 3 had been shortened to about 74km, instead of 264km. We drove from Skaftafell to Hofn.
AM: Glacier Walk at Vatnajokull
We started at 9:00am. This was a 4 hour, level 2 walk. We had to put on equipments like crampons, helmet, walking ice axe, water-resistance long 2nd-layer trousers, rain jackets and gloves. That morning, the weather was really bad. Actually, we wanted to cancel it as the wind and rains were so strong. It was dangerous. However, the tour guide said that we would still go. As we'd paid already, no choice, GO!

Everybody had brought lunch. Chocolates, sandwiches, hot drinks.... We had nothing, watching others to have lunch. Our guide sympathized us and gave some chocolates to us.
